The Ontario electrical distribution industry continues to evolve and one of the fastest areas of evolution is LDC Communications and Customer Engagement. The Communications Portfolio focusses on supporting our LDCs to develop solid communications platforms that will promote and facilitate engagement with their customers.  Every LDC has different requirements and we stress the need for customizable solutions that will fit the needs of each of our LDCs. Support that we have provided to date includes:

  • Tools to facilitate the effective planning and tracking of customer communication and engagement initiatives to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Consultation to help LDCs develop effective communications platforms tailored to their LDC.
  • Social media support in the form of regular content and content resources.
  • Annual training to update LDC staff on the current communications trends in the industry and identify how these opportunities can be incorporated into their existing platforms.
  • Policy documents and education to provide guidance for staff.
